Accessing Settings

You can access and customize settings for Functional Tolerancing & Annotation

  1. Select Tools > Options... from the menu bar.

    The Options dialog box appears.

  2. Select the Mechanical Design category in the left-hand box.

    The options for Functional Tolerancing & Annotation settings appear, organized in tabs.

  3. Select the tab corresponding to the options to be customized.

    Options in this tab... Allow you to customize...
    Administration Administration settings.
    Annotation Annotation behavior settings.
    Constructed Geometry Constructed geometry settings.
    Dimension Dimensions settings.
    Display Display settings.
    Manipulators Annotation manipulators settings.
    Tolerances Dimension tolerances settings.
    Tolerancing Tolerancing settings.
    View/Annotation Plane View/annotation plane settings.

  4. Set these options according to your needs.

    Some options in other categories are useful for Assembly Design.

  5. Select the General category in the left-hand box.

    The options for Display settings appear, organized in tabs.

  6. Select the Navigation tab corresponding to the options to be customized.

    Warning:

    Only the Navigation tab and some of its options are useful for Functional Tolerancing & Annotation.

    Navigation Highlight faces and edges

    The related geometry highlights when selected an annotation.

    Navigation Limit display of manipulators to ... element(s)

    The maximum number of manipulator displayed from selected annotations. When the number of selected annotations is greatest than the option number, no manipulator is displayed.

  7. Click OK to save the settings and exit the Options dialog box.
