Defining a Loaded Frequency Scenario

You can define a loaded frequency scenario to perform a pre-loaded frequency computation by selecting a static scenario to take into account the loads of the static scenario, and to generate a pre-loaded frequency computation (non-linear and load-dependant).

Before you begin: A structural analysis simulation containing a static scenario must be open.

  1. Create a loaded frequency scenario.

    See Creating an Analysis Scenario.

    1. In the Scenarios toolbar, click Analysis Scenarios .
    2. In the list, select Loaded frequency.
    3. Click OK.

The Loaded Frequency dialog box appears. By default, a new and empty mass set (New Masses) is referenced in the Excitations tab. At this stage, this set does not exist yet. It is created at the same time as the scenario.

  2. Optional: In the Name box, modify the scenario name.

  3. Select a static scenario.

The content of the FE Model box is updated.

  4. Optional: To define a frequency scenario without additional masses:

    1. Select the Masses tab.
    2. In the Referenced list, select the referenced mass set.
    3. Click .

  5. Optional: Define the frequency parameters.

  6. Click OK.
