Inserting Existing Reference and Representation

Once you have established your folder hierarchy, you are ready to start organizing your data. You can add references and representations (CATIA and non-CATIA) to your folder structure using cut, copy, paste, or drag and drop, or the insert command. This task shows you how to insert an existing reference and chapter shortcuts into a non-root folder. References and representations can only be inserted under non-root folders. In the Folder Editor Workbench, you can use the Insert Existing Reference and Insert Existing Representation commands in the 3D representation of the folder structure, or in the folder structure tree. In this example the folder structure tree is used.
