Simulating in a Preview Mode

In order to display and monitor the simulation without storing the results, you can perform a simulation in a preview mode.

Before you begin: Create a system experiment.

Simulating and Generating Results

  1. Select a scenario.

  2. Click Simulate and Generate Results .

    The Simulate and Generate Results dialog box appears.

  3. Click Preview.


    • The Signals Monitoring window appears.

      Note: For more information about using the Signals Monitoring window, see Signals Monitoring Window.

    • If a plot has been created in the scenario, the Plot window is automatically displayed.

  4. Use the controls on the Simulation Player to animate your mechanism or to step through the time increments in your simulation. Values for any probes defined in the scenario are displayed in the Signals Monitoring window.

  5. When you are done previewing the simulation, close the Simulation Player.
