Creating a System Experiment From a Model

You can create a system experiment to store and manage the specifications and results of a simulation.

You can create a system experiment:

  • From Functional and Logical editor
  • From the Dynamic Behavior Modeling workbench.

About System Experiment
  1. Select a model:

    • In VPM Functional Logical Editor: From the RFLP tree or the 2D diagram, select a functional or logical system with state logic or dynamic behavior.
    • In Dynamic Behavior Modeling: From the Package Browser, expand a behavior library and double-click to activate a model.

  2. Click Start from the bar, then select Simulation > System Experiment.

    Tip: You can also select PLM Access > New or New from the menu bar.

    The New dialog box appears.

  3. Expand Simulation, then select System Experiment.

  4. Click Next.

    The System Experiment / Simulation dialog box appears.

  5. Enter a name and a description for the representation.

  6. Click Finish.

    You enter the System Experiment workbench, and the new experiment representation is displayed. By default, a new scenario is created.

    • From VPM Functional Logical Editor:

    • From Dynamic Behavior Modeling: the scenario contains the library behavior.
