Defining Operations and Operation Parameters of Transfer System

You can define the Transfer system operations either in Live System Editor or PPR Context.

1. Right-click Transfer system in Live System Editor or PPR Contextand select Define Operations .

   The Define Operations dialog box appears.
   
   

2. Click Close to close the dialog box.

You can remove and add a Transfer operation.

1. Select a Transfer operation that you wish to remove.

2. Click Add/Remove button to remove a Transfer operation.

   The selected Transfer operation is removed.

3. Select a process in PPR Context and click Add/Remove button to add a Transfer operation.

   A Transfer operation gets created with default parameters and the selected process is linked to the created Transfer operation.

You can define system properties.

1. Click System Properties .

   The System Properties dialog box appears.
   
   

2. Specify the maximum number of products can be stored in the system at any time as Capacity.

3. Make necessary changes and click OK .

4. Click to close the dialog box.

You can define time distribution.

1. Click time distribution in Transfer Time column of Define Operations dialog box.

   The Edit Time Distribution dialog box appears.

2. Change time distribution to Exponential from the drop-down list.

   
   
   

3. Make necessary changes and click OK .

   The time distribution of the selected Transfer operation changes to Exponential in the Define Operations dialog box .
   
   

You can show and hide the Associated Process column.

You can edit and view the Transfer system operation parameters in Define Scenario Input Parameters dialog box.

1. Click Edit Scenario Inputs in Edit Scenario sub-toolbar and select a Transfer system.

   
   
   

2. Optional: Modify the parameters.
