Define Operation

You can define the Source system operation either in Live System Editor or PPR Context.

  1. Right-click Source system in Live System Editor or PPR Context and select Define Operations .

The Define Operations dialog box appears.

  2. Click Close to close the dialog box.

Add/Remove Operation

You can remove and add a Source operation.

  1. Select a Source operation that you wish to remove.

  2. Click Add/Remove button to remove an operation.

The selected Source operation is removed.

  3. Select a process in PPR Context and click Add/Remove button to add a Source operation.

A Source operation (SourceOperation.327.1) gets created with default parameters and the selected process is linked to the created Source operation.

Define System Properties

You can define system properties.

  1. Click System Properties .

The System Properties dialog box appears.

  2. Specify the Initial Delay time in seconds.

  3. Specify the Arrival Mode as:

    • Sequential: The product arrives in the order of list of products.
    • Any: The type of product is randomly determined based on defined proportion.
    • All together: All the products arrive at the same time.

  4. Specify the Arrival Time Mode.

  5. Make necessary changes and click OK to accept the changes.

  6. Click to close the dialog box.

Define Time Distribution

You can define time distribution.

  1. Click time distribution in Inter-arrival Time column.

The Edit Time Distribution dialog box appears.

  2. Change time distribution for a Source operation to Exponential from the drop-down list in Edit Time Distribution dialog box.

  3. Make necessary changes and click OK .

The time distribution of other Source operation also changes to Exponential.

Single time distribution exists for Source system. If you change the distribution for an Source operation, the distribution for all other Source operations also changes to maintain the single distribution.

  4. Click to close the dialog box.

Show and Hide Column

You can show and hide the Process column.

  • Right-click column header and select Show Column > Process in the Define Operations dialog box.

By default, Process is available in the Define Operations dialog box.

    See Contextual Menu

Edit Source System Operation Parameters

You can edit and view the Source system operation parameters in Define Scenario Input Parameters dialog box.

  1. Click Edit Scenario Inputs in Edit Scenario sub-toolbar and select a Source system.

  2. Optional: Modify the parameters.
