Simulating Programs using NCCode

You can select the NC Files and additional NC File and define work offsets.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin:
  • The Output settings dialog box enables you to define the NC file extension and to select the PP and CE path. If the output option is set to None, you cannot generate the NC code.

Select NC File and Additional NC File

You can select the NC file and additional NC File.

  1. Right-click Manufacturing Program in the Activities Process Tree

    1. In the contextual menu that appears, select Generate NC Code Interactively and generate ISO file.
    2. or launch the command from the West Compass toolbar.

  2. Double-click the Manufacturing Programin the Activities Process Tree

    The Manufacturing Program Edit dialog box appears.


  3. Select the NC Code Based Simulation checkbox if you need to assign a NC File and an Additional NC File.

    You can select this checkbox only when controller emulator is assigned on the machine and is present in the path Output.

    Note: An Additional NC File lets you assign sub-programs NC File to be used for simulation.

    1. Click ... to select the NC File and Additional NC File

    The Select File dialog box appears.

    It contains two columns:

    • NC Files Containers lists all the NC Files Containers under the Machining Cell.
    • When you select a NC Files Container, the NC Files column lists all the files (other than the log file) it contains. You can select the output file from this list.

  4. Click to remove the selected NC File or Additional NC File.

  5. Click OK.
