Inserting an Existing System

You can insert an existing system into your system structure using Existing System in the System Authoring toolbar, contextual menu or balloon toolbar in the Live System Editor. This can be a system from the current session or the database.


Before you begin: Open your session data and open the Manufacturing System Definition workbench.

Creating a System
  1. Click Existing System .

  2. Select the position in the PPR tree where you want to insert the system.



    The Insert Existing System dialog box appears.

  3. Select the From Session tab, and click Retrieve Loaded Data.

    The systems already present in the session are listed.



    Note: It is also possible to select an existing system from database. In that case, select the From Search tab and launch a search according to your desired criteria.

  4. Select the desired system in the list and click OK.

The selected existing System (along with its associated operations) is inserted into the PPR tree.
