Creating Temperature Field

You can load a body with a given temperature. Creating temperature field means applying a temperature constant or not to a part.


Before you begin: A structural analysis simulation containing a load set must be open.

Reviewing Specifications
  1. In the Loads toolbar, click Temperature Field .

    The Temperature Field dialog box appears.

  2. Optional: In the Name box, modify the name of the load.

  3. Select the support.

    See Authorized Supports.

    A symbol appears on the selected support.

  4. In the Initial temperature, enter an initial temperature.

  5. In the Temperature box, enter a value of temperature.

  6. Optional: If you want to import pre-defined data (for example: experimental data, data coming from a thermal solver) or if you want to apply a non-constant temperature field, select the Data mapping check box.

  7. Click OK.
