Image Layout

When several images are displayed, they are superimposed into one image that cannot be properly visualized. You can explode the superimposed visualization in the 3D view. It can be useful when you want to animate several images or cut image visualization.


Before you begin: At least two images must exist and must be activated.

  1. In the Image Tools toolbar, click Image Layout .

    The Image Layout dialog box appears. By default, the Explode option is selected and the Default option is not available because the images are superimposed.

  2. In the Along list, select the axis (X, Y or Z) or the plane (XY, XZ or YZ) along which you want to explode the images.

  3. In the Distance box, enter a value to specify the distance between two images.

  4. To return to an optimum distance between two images, click Default.

  5. To retrieve the default superimposed visualization, select Superimpose.

  6. To preview your modifications, click Preview.

  7. Click OK.
