Creating Transient Load Excitations

You can create and define transient load excitations in a transient dynamic scenario. Transient load excitations define force loading on the model as a function of time.

Before you begin:

A structural analysis simulation that contains a transient dynamic scenario must exist and must be open. See Defining Transient Dynamic Scenarios.
A load set must exist in the excitation library. See Working with Excitations.

In the Dynamic Excitations toolbar, click Transient Load .
The Transient Load dialog box appears.
Optional: In the Name box, modify the name of the excitation.
Select the load you want to excite.

Tip: If no load set is created, you have to create a load set. See Working with Excitations.
Select a file to define the modulation that is applied to the selected load set.
See Using Modulations.
In the Factor box, enter a number to globally scale all values in the load excitation.
Click OK.
