Defining Material Options

Material options in a Simulation domain specify the physical characteristics of the material.

Before you begin: Use the procedure in Creating a Simulation Domain to create a Simulation domain and open the Domain Edition dialog box.

  1. On the Simulation tabbed page, click the Options subtab.

  2. To add an option to the Simulation domain, right-click in the Options field, and select Add > Option Name.

    The selected option is added to the Options field.

  3. To edit an option, highlight it in the Options field, and complete the fields at the bottom of the dialog box. See Material Option Input Data for more information.

  4. To remove an option from the Simulation domain, highlight the option, right-click in the Options field, and select Delete.

Important: Propagate the new or updated material definition to the database before using it in the DesignSight workbench (see Propagating in the Infrastructure User's Guide).
