Working With the Component Parameters Edition Dialog Box

This topic describes the numerous functionalities proposed in the Component Parameters Edition dialog box.

For a global description of this dialog box, refer to Component Parameters Edition Dialog Box.

To know how to use this dialog box, refer to Editing Component Parameters.

Parameter Contextual Menu

You can right-click a parameter to display in the contextual menu all or some of the following commands.

Insert Component reference

You can easily find and insert any variable (except protected ones) from the current model, including variables in sub-components.

Parameter Propagation

You can automatically create a new parameter and a corresponding binding in the surrounding class that conveniently enables using the parameter on a higher level

Refer to Propagating a Parameter.

Replaceable Class Propagation

The main purpose of this dialog box is to let you manage the component parameters. However, the replaceable class of a component is displayed in this dialog box. This is the reason why you can also propagate this replaceable class to its surrounding class from the Component Parameters Edition dialog box.

Refer to Propagating a Replaceable Class.

Edit Command

On the right of some parameter input fields, an Edit command appears to let you access the corresponding edition dialog box.

Refer to Edit Command Dialog Boxes/Editors.
