Installation Overview

Several steps are required to successfully install the Abaqus Simulation Engine, depending on the types of execution you will be supporting.

Prerequisites
Remote Execution

  1. Install the Abaqus Simulation Engine extension on the remote machines. The installation must be accessible to the machine that is will be used as a submission host and any other machines that will be used as execution hosts.

  2. Start the Server Monitor to enable communications between the client machine and the remote execution machines.

  3. Check the aqs.env environment file to ensure the execution configuration options are set correctly.

  4. If you installed the Abaqus Simulation Engine on a queue, configure the queue to accept DesignSight simulations.
