Editing and Deleting End Cuts

You can edit and delete previously placed end cuts.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Open a document containing plate with a stiffener placed which End Cuts you want to modify.

Edit End Cuts

You can edit previously defined end cuts.

  1. Click End Cut in the Connection toolbar.

    The End Cut dialog box appears.

  2. Select the stiffeners whose end cut you want to edit.

    Both the extremities of the selected stiffeners are listed in end cut dialog box.

  3. To modify the end cut placed at the extremity, follow the same procedure as explained in the Placing End Cuts from step 4.

Note: In case the stiffener location is changed, the end cut location is also updated. However, in the graphics area you will still see the circular dot indicating the old end cut location. You need to update the connection set to update the graphical representation of end cut. For more information, refer to Connection Set.

Delete End Cuts

You can delete previously defined end cuts.

  1. Click End Cut in the Connection toolbar.

    The End Cut dialog box appears.

  2. Select the stiffeners whose end cut you want to delete.

    Both the extremities of the selected stiffeners are listed in the End Cut dialog box.

  3. Right-click the extremity and select Delete End Cut.

    End Cut box changes to:

    • None if the limits are not defined.
    • Short Point if the limits are defined.

  4. Click OK to delete the end cut.

Note: Even if the end cut is deleted, you will see a circular dot in the graphics area indicating the end cut. You need to update the connection set to update the graphical representation of end cut. For more information, refer to Connection Set.
