Creating and Modifying Nodes by Manipulation

The manipulator allows you to route by clicking and dragging handles. You can create and modify nodes by using the manipulator.

Create Nodes by Manipulation

You can create nodes by using the Create Point by Manipulation command.

  1. Double-click the pipe to edit the route.

  2. Select the node where you want to place the robot.

  3. Click Create Point by Manipulation in the balloon.

    The manipulator appears on the node.

  4. Drag the X, Y or Z arrow to extend the pipe.



    A new node is created and the pipe is extended at your selected location.

    You can also edit the ruler and enter a value to place the node at the exact location.

    Note: Edition of the ruler is possible till the time you do not drag robot in another axis direction or angle.

  5. Drag the arc to change the direction angle.

Notes:

  • You can click the center point (origin) of the manipulator and drag it to a different location.

  • You can also get the required orientation of pipe by revolving it in Y and Z direction, where the axis of the pipe is considered as the X direction.

    You can modify more than one angle to get the required orientation.

Modify Nodes by Manipulation

You can modify the previously created nodes by using the Create Point by Manipulation command.

  1. Double-click the pipe to edit the route.

  2. Select the node where you want to place the manipulator.

  3. Click Create Point by Manipulation in the balloon.

    The manipulator appears.

  4. Click the pink circle.

    The dashed line turns into the continuous line.

  5. Drag the arrows to modify the position of the node.

    Only the node position will be modified.
