Deleting a Pipe or Part

Using Delete command you can make a design changes that impact connected pipes or parts without having to manually fix all contextual links for every pipe or part. This command improves productivity and design modification efficiency.


Before you begin: Open a document containing the piping network from which one or more pipes or parts are required to be deleted.

Adding or Replacing Points
  1. Click Modify in the Compass Toolbar.

  2. Select the part you want to delete.

    The balloon appear.

  3. Click Delete in the balloon.

    Selected part is deleted from the piping network.

    Note:

    • Both the pipes are merged into one pipe.
    • All collinear points to the neighbor points are removed from the final route.
    • If no collinear points exists, then all imported and directional points are converted to XYZ coordinate points.

  4. Select other parts one by one to delete while you are still in Delete .

  5. Click Modify in the Compass Toolbar to validate and exit the command.

If you delete a reference point, the related directional point is deleted as well.
