Click Rigid Route in the Compass Toolbar. The balloon appears.
Click Insert Point > Point in the balloon.
In the top pane, right-click beneath the
Point Name column and select Insert Wireframe
> Create Point. The Point Definition dialog
box appears.
Click the Point Type arrow
and select the method you want to use to create a point. For more information about creating a point, refer to
Generative Shape Design User Guide : User Tasks : Creating Wirefame Geometry.
For illustration purposes, the point shown below was created
using the On Plane option - select this option, then
select an XY plane and drag the point to the location where
you want the point created.
To add a point after another point: - In the Route Definition dialog box, select the
Add Point After option.
- Click Select Point
.
- Enter other values such as length.
- Click the top of the block
- a third point is created and pipe is added until that point.
Note:
Pipe is added normal to the surface you select, in
the positive direction.
In the example below Point 3 has been
added.
To add a point before another point: - In the Route Definition dialog box, select the
Add Point Before option.
- Click Select Point.
There are several ways in which you can create a point, as mentioned
above.
- Right-click under the Points column in the
Route Definition dialog box and, in the menus that
display, select Insert Wireframe > Create Point.
- Create a point using your selected method.
To replace a point: - Create a new point.
It is the black point to the right of the
pipe in the image below.
- Double-click the pipe to display the
Route Definition dialog box.
- Click Select Point.
- Select the point you want to replace.
- Select the Replace
Point option.
- Select the new point.
The point
will be replaced and the pipe re-routed.
To remove a point: - Select the point in the Route Definition
dialog box.
- Click Remove Point.
