Naming Component Family Items (Standard Naming)

You can apply the Standard Naming to the Component Family items.

Before you begin: You must have created a Creating a Component Family.

About the Naming of Component Family Items

  1. Click Provide naming options for items resolution . The Naming options dialog box opens.



  2. Select the Standard Naming option and click Test.... The Test naming dialog box is displayed.

  3. Select the component you want to rename in the Component scrolling list and enter its name in the New name field.

  4. Click Close and OK in the Naming options dialog box.
