Creating/Editing a New Human Interaction

The Human Interaction is used as a way for you to establish and to store Posture/offset states between one of the manikin's segments and one human interface.


Before you begin: Have a manikin in your scenario with human interfaces created.

About the Human Interaction Dialog Box
  1. Click Inserts a new human interaction .

    The Human Interactions List and the Human Interactions dialog box appears.

  2. Click the All button and select the Create New Interaction....



  3. Select a human interface from the 3D geometry window.



    We selected he human interface on the engine.

  4. Click the Add button in the human interactions dialog box.

    This adds the human interface into the human interaction.

  5. Click the Human Interface.1 to edit the selections.

    Change the Reach with hand from Right to Left.

  6. Click Modify to apply the changes.

    Clicking on Remove deletes this human interface.

  7. Select the Create Initial Conditions.

  8. Select the manikin.

    The Initial Conditions dialog box appears.

  9. Click the Start Preview

    This shows the placement of the hand on the human interface.

  10. Click the Stop Preview.



  11. Click OK to store the new interaction in the database.

    A representation is created and instantiated under the context root. This can then be reused in all places where you currently select intrinsic skill like the The preferred skill in the human interface editor.
