Creating a Section View/Annotation Plane

You can create a section view/annotation plane.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.

  1. Click View Creation .

    The Tools Palette toolbar appears.

  2. Select Section View from the Tools Palette.

    Important:

    You have to select a planar element only to perform this command.

  3. Select the face as shown.

    The View Creation dialog box appears.



  4. Click OK in the View creation dialog box.

    The section view is created. Section views are represented by a green reference axis and are identified as Section View.1 in the Specification Tree.

    Tip:

    When you select an empty view/plane annotation, its normal axis is red colored until you create an annotation.
