Adding Frames or Sub-Frames

You can add frames and sub-frames to texts and texts with leader.


Before you begin: Open a drawing representation and create text.

Frames Anchors Table
  1. Select the text to which you want to add a frame, and click Frame in the Text Properties toolbar.

    The Frames sub-menu is displayed, displaying the various frames available. Variable-size frames are represented without a lock symbol , and fixed-size frames are represented with a lock symbol .

  2. Select a frame.

    The frame is created around the text.

  3. Right-click the text and select Add leader.

  4. Click in the free space to end the leader creation.

    The leader is created.

  5. Optional: Zoom to make it easier to move the leader round the text.

  6. Right-click the leader's hanged point.

  7. In the contextual menu, select or clear Standard Behavior.

    Note: This option drives how many anchor points are available when moving the leader around the frame. For more information, refer to Frames Anchors Table.

  8. Drag the leader's hanged point and see how it behaves depending on whether Standard Behavior is selected or not.

    Note: Even when surrounded by a frame, the text remains editable.
