Analyzing Dimensions and Annotations Through Colors Display

You can analyze a geometrical tolerance according to its color display, and customize a color analysis.

The following dimensions and annotations can be analyzed:

  • Dimensions and annotations on deleted geometry.
  • Dimensions and annotations on unloaded geometry.
  • Invalid dimensions and annotations.
  • Technological feature dimensions.
  • Fake dimensions.
  • True dimensions.

Before you begin:
  • Open an existing 3D shape containing annotations.
  • Be sure that Elements' Analysis is on.
  1. Modify the geometry of an existing geometrical tolerance in order to set it as invalid.

The geometrical tolerance color turn to black.

  2. Open Elements Analysis colors section.

  3. Click Configure in order to open the Element's Analysis Dialog Box and turn the color for Invalid dimensions and annotations from black to magenta.

  4. Click Close in Types and colors dialog box, then OK in Options dialog box.

The invalid geometrical tolerance is now magenta.

  5. Turn Elements' Analysis off .

    Important:

When you turn off this option, the related annotation types with this option will appear with the default color for valid annotations.

The geometrical tolerance appears with default color for valid annotations.

  6. Turn Elements' Analysis on.
