Before you begin: At least, a mesh must be created in the finite element model representation.

  1. Right-click a mesh in the specification tree, and select Mesh Color.

Tip: You can also right-click Nodes and Elements in the specification tree, and select Mesh Color.

The Color Meshes dialog box appears.

  2. In the Mesh part list, select one of the following:

    • All to modify the color of all types of mesh.
    • 1D to modify the color of one-dimensional meshes.
    • 2D to modify the color of two-dimensional meshes.
    • 3D to modify the color of three-dimensional meshes.
    • Connection to modify the color of connection meshes.

  3. To assign a unique color to all meshes that have the same type, select Fixed Color, and select a color in the list.

  4. To assign colors on a random way to meshes that have the same type, select Variable color, and enter a value to specify the number of colors you want to use.

  5. Click Apply.

  6. Repeat the previous steps to modify the color of other mesh types.

  7. Click OK.
