Creating More than One Electrical Branch per Electrical Geometry

You can create more than one electrical branch in an electrical geometry. Working in this way lets you take advantage of ENOVIA configuration management to manage effectivity at the more detailed level of the electrical branch geometry.


Before you begin: Create an electrical geometry.

About Electrical Branch Geometries
  1. Clear the Work with one electrical branch per electrical geometry check box:

    1. Select Tools > Options.
    2. Select Equipment > Electrical Discipline.
    3. Select Electrical Assembly Design.
    4. In the Electrical Geometry Management tab, clear the Work with one electrical branch per electrical geometry check box under Segment Creation.
    5. Click OK when done.

  2. Double-click to activate the electrical geometry.

  3. Click Electrical Branch Geometry .

    An electrical branch geometry is created. It includes one branch and one segment by default.

  4. Activate the electrical geometry again.

  5. Click Electrical Branch Geometry .

    Another electrical branch geometry is created. It also has one branch and one segment by default.
