Isolating Links or Relations

You can isolate links or relations.

Before you begin: Open an existing product containing 3D shapes with links and relations between them.

Edit Links and Relations Dialog Box

  1. Click Impact .

    The Edit Links & Relations dialog box appears.

  2. Select the relation you want to isolate.

    Tips:
    • To select an element (relation or link), click it.
    • SHIFT allows you to select all elements between two selection.
    • CTRL allows you to add element to the selection..
    • To deselect an element CTRL + click the element.
    Important:
    • Isolate a link is only available from Edit Links & Relations dialog box.
    • When you are isolating a relation, it means that all its links are isolated too.
    • To cancel an isolating operation, click Cancel in theEdit Links & Relations dialog box.
    • When there is no selected link or relation, Isolate Links is not available.

  3. Click Isolate Links .

    The relation disappears from the list of relation in the Edit Links & Relations dialog box.



    Important:

    When there is no selected link or relation, Isolate Links is not available.

  4. Click the OK in the Edit Links & Relations dialog box.
