Creating a Customized Assembly Symmetry

You can create an assembly symmetry from customized parameters.

Important:

Assembly Symmetry is only available with CATIA Mechanical Design licence (MDE).

Before you begin: Open an existing assembly.

  1. Click Assembly Symmetry .

    The Symmetric Reference Creation dialog box appears.

  2. Select the product to make symmetric.

  3. Click Customize Symmetry Specifications .

    You are now the Assembly Symmetry workshop.

    Important: in the Assembly Symmetry workshop:

  4. Define the desired options.

  5. Click Exit . You exit the Assembly Symmetry workshop and the original product window is restored.

  6. Click OK in the Symmetric Reference Creation dialog box. The new symmetric product is created.

  7. Click Update All .
