Adding Queue Controls to the aqs.env File

On the submission host for your cluster, the aqs.env file provides information about how the Execution Engine can submit jobs and monitor the grid job scheduler. The values provided in the default aqs.env file are correct for most queue configurations.

The aqs.env environment file is described in Configuring the aqs.env Environment File. To allow queue submissions, several parameters must be set in the aqs.env file to define the commands used to interact with the queue job scheduler. The settings for these parameters are platform-specific, and they typically should not be modified from the values provided in the default environment file (see aqs.env File Example). For a full listing of aqs.env file parameters, see aqs.env File Parameters.

The grid_log parameter is not defined in the default aqs.env file. This parameter specifies the location of a log file for writing queue-related error and diagnostic messages. To receive error information concerning queue job submission, you must set this parameter. Details of submission-related errors are not reported in the DesignSight client.
