Creating a Logical View

You can create logical views by filtering out the objects that are not relevant to the view and extracts only the selected object and objects connected logically to it.


Before you begin: To access this mode, select Tools > Options > Mechanical > Drafting > Administration tab. Clear the Disable generative view style usage check box.

Creating a Functional Tolerancing and Annotation View
  1. Open the document containing your functional system or design unit.



  2. Click Start > Mechanical > Drafting.

    The Drawing / Representation DS dialog box appears.

  3. Enter the necessary inputs and click Finish.

  4. Click Front View in the Views toolbar.

  5. Select the required generative view style file from the list in Generative view style dialogue box.



  6. Select the transverse bulkhead in the specification tree in 3D session.

  7. Select any transverse frame plane in 3D session.

    Preview is displayed in 2D session.

  8. Click in the 2D session to generate the logical view.
