The Property Toolbar's Behavior dialog box let you customize the behavior of most properties available in the
Text Properties, Dimension Properties,
Numerical Properties and Graphic Properties
toolbars.
This dialog box appears when you click Configure next to Property Toolbar's Behavior on the Administration tab.
For each listed property in the Property Toolbar's Behavior area, you can select a behavior from the
drop-down list:
Fix value
The property's default value is fixed, whatever the current style
in the Style toolbar is; the style's property value is
never taken into account (except when it is first initialized).
When the current style is changed in the Style toolbar,
properties that are set to Fix value are not reset to
style values.
If a property value is changed when an element is selected or being
created, the default value is not impacted.
Note:
This behavior does not apply to the Frame,
Symbol, Dimension line and Numerical
display description properties.
Value based on element type
The property's default value is always fixed for a given element
type, whatever the current style in the Style toolbar
is; the style's property value is never taken into account (except
when it is first initialized). When the current style is changed to
a style of the same element type in the Style toolbar,
properties that are set to Value based on element
type are not restored to style values. When switching to
another element type, the last overloaded values (the default
values) of this element type are restored to properties in such
mode.
If a property value is changed when an element is selected or being
created, the default value is not impacted.
Note:
This behavior does not apply to the Pattern property.
Value based on style
The property's default value is based on the current style of the
Style toolbar. So each time the style is changed in the
Style toolbar, the property's default value is changed
to fit the style's property value.
Value based on style (no overload)
the property's default value is based on the current style of the
Style toolbar. So each time the style is changed in the
Style toolbar, the property's default value is changed
to fit the style's property value.
The default value cannot be overloaded before creating an element.
In this case, you can modify a property only when creating an
element or when the selection is not empty.
By default,
all properties are set to Value based on style.
Important:
Tolerance Properties combines the Tolerance Description and Tolerance properties.
For Functional Tolerancing and Annotation: Value based on
element type is not supported by the Color,
Thickness, Line type and Point
type properties. If this behavior is defined for one of these
properties, their behavior will be based on the Value based on
style behavior.
