Creating Watch Lists and Plots

In order to observe some variables during the simulation, watch lists and plots can be created. The values of these variables are then collected into the result category of the system experiment.

This task shows you how to create Plot and Watch List probes.

Isolating Results in a Watch List

  1. Select a scenario from the MSR tree.

  2. Select New Probe from the Experiment Specifications toolbar.

    The Probes dialog box appears and displays the model structure, from the function/logical component to the dynamic or state logic behavior.

  3. Rigth-click an input or an output to display its contextual menu.



  4. Select Live Plot, new watchlist or an existing watch list.

  5. Open the tab to check the insertion.

    The added watchlist or plot is also displayed in the Scenario category of the MSR tree.

After the next computation, the corresponding watchlist or plot nodes(s) will be created under the Result category to display the result.
