Adding/Editing a Scenario

By default, a scenario is created along with a new experiment. But you can add as many scenario as you need. You can then add or edit a scenario to an existing experiment.


Before you begin: Create or open a system experiment.

Selecting a Behavior in a Multi-Behavior Model
  1. You can either:

    • Create a scenario: Click New Scenario from the Experiment Specifications toolbar.
    • Edit an existing scenario: Double-click the scenario from the MSR tree.

    The Systems Scenario dialog box appears.

  2. Select to visualize and/or modify the systems to be experimented.

    The Behavior Selection dialog box appears to display the architecture of the systems.

    Tip: Filter the tree using the Hide inactive node hierarchy and Hide branches without behavior options.

  3. From the Behavior combo box, select a behavior.

  4. Click OK to close the Behavior Selection dialog box and validate your choice.

  5. Back in the Systems Scenario dialog box, from the Parameters tab, define the Start time / End time from the Parameters area.



  6. Select Execution Setup from the Parameters area.

    The Execution Setup dialog box appears to let you modify the virtual execution.

  7. Define your simulation parameters

    Refer to Execution Setup Dialog Box for more about this dialog box.

  8. Click OK to close the Execution Setup dialog box.

  9. Back in the Systems Scenario dialog box, open the Comments tab to add information about the scenario (its purpose, for instance).



  10. Click OK to validate your creation/edition and exit the Systems Scenario dialog box.
