Creating a Directional Point

You can create and modify a directional point.

Before you begin: Open a document containing one or more parts you want to route from and/or to.

Route Definition Dialog Box

  1. Click Rigid Route in the Compass Toolbar.



  2. Click Insert Point in the balloon.

  3. Right-click beneath the Direction column in the Route Definition dialog box and select Insert Wireframe > Y Axis.

  4. To reverse direction:

    1. Select the point whose direction you want to reverse.
    2. Click Reverse Direction in the Route Definition dialog box.

    In the example below, the direction has been reversed for the point that was just placed (Point 3).

  5. To modify the properties of a point:

    1. Open the Route Definition dialog box.
    2. Select the point.
    3. Enter new values.
    4. Click Show Point Parameters to expand the dialog box and display more properties.
