Routing Flexible Based on Properties

You can route a flexible pipe based on the properties using Edit Properties command.

Before you begin:
  • Open a document containing the parts between which you want to route.
  • Flex Algorithm based on material properties option is available if you have a Generative Piping and Tubing license.

  1. Click Flexible Route in the Compass Toolbar.

    The 3D Part / Product DS dialog box appears.

  2. Enter details and click Finish.

    The balloon opens.

  3. Click Edit Properties in the balloon.

    The Flexible Route Definition dialog box appears.

  4. Make entries in the Flexible Route Definition dialog box. You can define Nominal size from Flexible Pipe Reference Definition Table.



  5. Select Flex Algorithm as the Build Algorithm option.

  6. Define Slack, Accuracy and Flexibility.

  7. Click OK and continue to create your route.
