Adding a Representation to a Template Definition

You can add a representation to a template definition.


Before you begin: At least one representation must exist in your database.

  1. From the Define Template Toolbar Click . The Select a representation to insert in the template dialog box is displayed.



  2. Enter your search criteria in the empty box (with or without wildcards). The query is run only on attributes that are part of the identifier set. The identifier set lets you associate a list of characteristic attributes to a given object.

  3. Click Search.

    Tip:
    • By default, the Details view is set.
    • To display the search results in thumbnail view, click Thumbnails .
    • To display the search results in Tile view, click .

  4. To launch a query on each attribute (and not only on the identifier set), click Advanced Search to open the dialog box shown here below:



  5. Click Apply to launch the query or OK to launch the query and close the dialog box.

  6. Select the desired objects (multi-selection is supported) from the search results then click OK to insert the representation(s) and close the Select a representation to insert in the template. The selected object is now displayed in the:


  • Treeview

  • Components to duplicate section

  • Components to keep section
