Creating a New PLM Template

You can create PLM Template elements, to be reused later.

Before you begin: Set PLM preferences (PLM Access > Creation Preferences...).

Instantiating a PLM Template From Search, From Session, and From a Catalog

  1. Click and select Knowledgeware > Templates > Product Knowledge Template.

  2. Click New in the Standard toolbar. The New PLM Type dialog box is displayed.

  3. Select the PLM Template item and click Next. The PLM Template / Knowledge Template dialog box is displayed.



  4. Give your new PLM Template a name and/or a description so you will be able to easily identify it later. Click Finish. The PLM Template Creation Workshop is displayed.



    Tip: The Components tab is displayed by default.
    Important: At this step you can start creating and customizing your new PLM Template. See the Define Template Toolbarsection to know more on the available commands.
