Instantiating a PLM Template

After creating a PLM Template containing Meta Inputs, you can instantiate it.

Creating a PLM Template

  1. Open the destination Product.



  2. Click and select Knowledgeware > Templates > Product Knowledge Template workbench.

  3. Click PLM Template Instantiation . The Select a template to instantiate dialog box is displayed. By default, The From Search tab is highlighted.

  4. Enter the name of the PLM Template you saved in the database in the Search field. Either click Search or Advanced Search in the database to display the template to instantiate.

    Important: You can either search for your own PLM Template created as described in Creating a PLM Template or for any other user PLM Template indexed in the database.

  5. Double-click the desired template in the list.

    The Insert Object dialog box is displayed.

  6. Select the inputs in the specification tree.

  7. Click OK to validate your selection. The instantiated template is displayed.
