Removing Links Between Resources and Operations

You can unassign links between resources and operations. This removes the Execute link and/or the Used link depending on the selected resources and operations.

Unassign Resources from an Operation

You can unassign one or more resources from an operation.

  1. Click Unassign Operation from Resource in the Operation Authoring toolbar.

  2. Select an operation in the Manufacturing System Gantt or the Resource Utilization Gantt.

    The Unassign Resources dialog box appears.

  3. Select one or more Execute, Used or Localization resources and click the Remove arrow.



    The unassigned resources appear in the Resources to unassign from operation list.

    Notes:


    • To re-assign a resource to the current operation, click the Left-to-Right yellow arrow.

    • If the selected operation has no resource assigned (that is, no Execute resource and no Used resource), an information box is displayed.

  4. Click OK.

    The selected resources are no longer assigned to the operation.

Unassign Operations from a Resource

You can unassign one or more operations from a resource.

  1. Click Unassign Operation from Resource in the Operation Authoring toolbar.

  2. Select a resource in the resource tree or the 3D viewer.

    The Unassign Operations dialog box appears.

  3. Select one or more Executed operations, Used by operations or Localized operations and click the Remove arrow.



    The unassigned operations appear in the Operations to unassign from resource list.

    Notes:


    • Depending on the selected resource, operation lists may be greyed out.

    • If the selected resource does not execute any operation and is not used by an operation, an information box is displayed.

  4. Click OK.

    The selected operations are no longer assigned to the resource.
