Inserting New PLM Objects Into a PLM Rule Set

You can insert a PLM Rule Set, PLM Rule, PLM Check from the database.

Inserting a New Rule Set

You can insert a New Rule Set.

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert New RuleSet.

    The New - Step 2 dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter the name of the rule set in the Name field.

    Note: You can also enter a description and an application domain but these 2 fields are not compulsory.

  3. Click Finish.

    The rule set is inserted.

    Important: If you want to insert a rule set right below an existing rule set, select it before inserting the new rule set.

Inserting a New Rule

You can insert a New Rule.

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert New Rule.

    The New - Step 2 dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter the name of the Rule in the Name field.

  3. Select the language you want to use in the Language list and click Finish.

    The rule is created.

  4. Double-click the rule in the specification tree to edit it and click OK when done.

  5. From the PLM Access menu, select Save to save the created rule in the database.

Inserting a New Check

You can insert a New Check.

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert New Check.

    The New - Step 2 dialog box is displayed.

  2. Enter the name of the Check in the Name field.

  3. Select the language you want to use in the Language list and click Finish.

    The check is created.

  4. Double-click the check in the specification tree to edit it and click OK when done.

  5. From the PLM Access menu, select Save to save the created check in the database.
