Inserting Existing PLM Objects Into a PLM Rule Set

You can insert a PLM Rule Set , an Expert Rule, and an Expert Check into a model.

Before you begin: Before performing the tasks described in this section, you must have created a PLM Rule Set .

Inserting an Existing Rule Set

You can insert an existing Rule Set .

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert Existing RuleSet.

    The Insert Component Chooser dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the name of the Rule Set in the By Search tab and click Search.

    The Rule Set s found are displayed in a list.

  3. Select the Rule Set you want to insert and click OK.

    The Rule Set is inserted.

    Important: If you want to insert a Rule Set right below an existing Rule Set , select it before inserting the new Rule Set .

Inserting an Existing Rule

You can insert an Existing Rule.

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert Existing Rule.

    The Insert Component Chooser dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the name of the rule in the By Search tab and click Search.

    The rules found are displayed in the list below.

  3. Select the rule that you want to insert and click OK.

    The rule is inserted.

Inserting an Existing Check

You can insert an existing Check.

  1. From the Insert menu, select Insert Existing Check.

    The Insert Component Chooser dialog box opens.

  2. Enter the name of the check in the By Search tab and click Search.

    The checks found are displayed in the list below.

  3. Select the check that you want to insert and click OK.

    The check is inserted.
