Exporting a Drawing Representation (Save As)

You can save a drawing representation in a format different from the original one:

  • .cgm

  • .dxf

  • .dwg

  • .gl2

  • .ig2

  • .jpg

  • .pdf

  • .ps

  • .svg

  • .tif

Refer to the Data Exchange Interfaces User's Guide for more information on dealing with 2D IGES (*.ig2) data and DWG/DXF data.

Refer to the Infrastructure User's Guide: Importing/Exporting for more information on exporting drawing representations to other formats.

Before you begin:

Create or open a drawing representation.

Importing From Files

  1. Select PLM Access > Export.

    The Export To File dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select a path in the Save in field.

  3. Type a file name in the File name box.

  4. Select the convenient format in the Save as type box.

  5. Click Save.

The drawing representation is saved into the specified format.
