Displaying a View/Annotation Plane or a Capture

You can display view/annotation planes or captures.


Before you begin:
  • Open an existing 3D shape containing view/annotation planes.
  • Activate the Track history of displayed views and captures option in Annotations in Specification Tree.

Capturing the Display Area
  1. Right-click a view/annotation plane in the Specification Tree and select Display View from the contextual menu.

    The view/annotation plane is displayed parallel to the screen, oriented according to its normal and reframed on the view/annotation plane content . When a Display Area has been defined, this one is used to display the view/annotation plane.

    • The view/annotation plane is now the active one.
    • Its annotation set, all its annotations and theirs corresponding nodes by category contained in the view/annotation plane are swapped in Show space if needed.
    • The annotations contained of other view/annotation planes and these view/annotation planes themselves are swapped in No Show space.

  2. Right-click another view/annotation plane in the Specification Tree and select Display View from the contextual menu.


    • The view/annotation plane is now the active one.
    • Its annotations and theirs corresponding nodes by category are swapped in Show space.
    • The annotations contained of the previous view/annotation plane and itself are swapped in No Show space.
    • The previous view/annotation plane displayed if identified with a light purple background in the specification, according to the Track history of displayed views and captures option.
      Important:
      • This behavior is only available for already-displayed view/annotation planes in session.
      • You can remove the color code used to identified already-displayed views and captures from the Specification Tree.

        To do this, right-click the annotation set and select Delete History of Displayed Views and Captures.
