Positioning Dimensions (View per View)

You can position distance and length dimensions (either generated dimensions or interactive dimensions) in a better way. These dimensions will be positioned on the active view exclusively.

Before you begin: Open any drawing representation containing generated dimensions.

Analyzing Interfering Dimensions

  1. Select View > Toolbar > Positioning in order to display the Positioning toolbar in the workbench.

  2. Click Dimension Positioning in the Positioning toolbar, or select Tools > Positioning > Dimension Positioning.... The dimensions are automatically re-positioned.



Important: If you want to analyze dimension interferences, click Dimension Analysis in the Analyze toolbar (or select Tools > Analyze > Dimension Analysis). You will thus be able to visualize and manage interfering dimensions.
