Creating a Section Cut View/Annotation Plane

You can create a section cut view/annotation plane.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape.

View Creation Dialog Box

  1. Click View Creation .

    The Tools Palette toolbar appears.

  2. Select Section Cut from the Tools Palette.

    Important:

    You have to select a planar element only to perform this command.

  3. Select the face as shown.

    The View Creation dialog box appears.



  4. Click OK in the View creation dialog box.

    The section cut view is created. Section views are represented by a yellow reference axis and are identified as Section Cut View.1 in the Specification Tree.

    Tip:

    When you select an empty view/plane annotation, its normal axis is red colored until you create an annotation.
