Editing Images

You can edit an image and modify its parameters.


Before you begin: An image must exist.

  1. Double-click an image in the specification tree.


    • If the image is activated, the Image dialog box appears.
    • If the image is deactivated, the activation process is launched.

    Note: The options available in the Image dialog box vary depending on the edited image.

  2. Modify the desired parameters in the following tabs:

    • Data (not available for deformed mesh images): in this tab, you can specify what you want to visualize (values at the nodes of element, values at the element...). See More About Image Edition.
    • Display: with this tab, you can specify how you want to display the image (text, symbol...). See More About Image Edition.
    • Selections: with this tab, you can specify where you want to display the values. See More About Image Edition.
    • Occurrences (only available in multi-occurrence solution) to change the displayed occurrence of the image. See More About Image Edition.

  3. Optional: By default, the visualization process is launched after each modification in the dialog box, and the Preview button is not available. If this button is available, click Preview to launch the visualization process after performing all the needed changes in the dialog box.

    Tip: The Preview button is available only if you deactivate the Automatic preview mode option in the Options dialog box (Tools > Options... menu). See Structural Analysis User's Guide: Customizing: Images.

  4. Click OK.
