When you are exploring a simulation from a Navigator Window, you can do one of the following to execute the current simulation:
       
- Right-click on the specification tree, and select Run 
  from the contextual menu. 
- From the toolbar, select .
 
- From the Navigator toolbar, select Run 
 . 
 
If the simulation is already running, you can select Abort   from the contextual menu to halt its  execution.  The Run Simulation Item dialog box appears.  
       Do one  of the following: 
 
        
          Click OK.
        
        
         The background execution of the simulation begins, and you return to the  Navigator window. You can use the South quadrant of the compass in a Search Results window to monitor the status of the simulation; see Using the Compass with Simulations.  
      
      
      
      
    If you are monitoring the simulation and have enabled notifications, the Simulation Notification dialog box appears when the simulation is complete; see Simulation Monitoring. If the simulation is still open and you want to view the results, you should do either of  the following: 
  V6 does the following:
  - Accesses the database and retrieves objects that were modified by the batch execution, such as the results.
 
- Synchronizes the various representations of the results. For example, a deformed image needs to display a deformed mesh representation.
