Defining a Shell

You can add electrical behavior to a standard 3D shape to turn it into a shell.

Before you begin: Create a mechanical product containing a standard 3D shape.

  1. Double-click the 3D shape representation or a About Electrical Devices in the specification tree.

    The workbench switches to Electrical Part Design.

  2. Click Shell or select Insert > Device Behavior > Shell...

    The standard 3D shape is automatically detected.

    The Shell Definition dialog box opens:



  3. Specify a Name, for example Shell.

  4. Click OK to validate.

    The selected part is now an electrical shell.
