Click Profile
in the Profile toolbar.
Click anywhere in the geometry area
to locate the first
point of the profile, or if you know where this point must be located,
use the Sketch Tools toolbar which now displays value fields
for defining the point coordinates.
These value fields are:
-
H: horizontal
-
V: vertical
In addition to value fields, the Sketch Tools
toolbar displays three profile creation options (see More about the
Profile Command). Keep the default option: Line
.
For the purposes of our scenario, in the Sketch
Tools toolbar enter the first point coordinates: H=30mm,
V=40mm and press Enter.
The first point is created.
Repeat the operation for the end point coordinates:
H=70mm, V=40mm.
The line appears as shown here, with the constraints
corresponding to the line. These dimensional constraints are created
because Dimensional Constraints
is on in the Sketch tools toolbar.
Select Tangent Arc
in the Sketch Tools toolbar.
A rubber banding arc follows the cursor, showing the tangent arc to
be created. You still can use value fields to define coordinates. These
value fields are:
-
H: horizontal
-
V: vertical
-
R: angle
Click where you want to create the arc end point.
The default mode is back to Line
in the Sketch Tools toolbar.
Start drawing two other lines and click on the first
point you created at the beginning of the scenario to close the profile.
