Creating Centered Rectangles

If you know the center of the rectangle, then you can create the rectangle using the Centered Rectangle command.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Ensure that Geometrical Constraints and Dimensional Constraints are deactivated.

Create a Centered Rectangle

You can create a centered rectangle using the Centered Rectangle command.

  1. Click Centered Rectangle in the Profile toolbar (Predefined Profile sub-toolbar).

  2. Click a point in the geometry area or select an existing one.



  3. Drag the cursor to create the centered rectangle.



Create a Constrained Centered Rectangle

To set constraints while creating a centered rectangle, activate Geometrical Constraints and Dimensional Constraints.

  1. Activate Geometrical Constraints and Dimensional Constraints (activated by default).

  2. Follow the same steps as explained above. Equidistant constraints are applied automatically on the opposed lines accordingly to the center point.
